鼓樓
“天津衛，三宗寶，鼓樓、炮臺、鈴鐺閣”，這三樣均在天津舊城內外，為明代修建。
鼓樓位於舊城中心，名為鼓樓，實為鐘樓。始建於弘治六年（1493年），高三層，最下層是壹座磚砌的方臺，四面開設券門通道，以溝通城內東西南北四條大街。城臺上建有木結構城樓壹座，分上下兩層，下層供奉觀音大士、天後聖母和關羽嶽飛等塑像。樓的第二層，懸有壹口重達三百斤的報時鐵鐘。
清光緒年間，八國聯軍侵入天津，城墻被拆除，鼓樓卻幸存下來作為了望臺。民國時期，鼓樓得以重建，樓頂大梁上覆以綠瓦，煥然壹新。解放後，由於城市發展，鼓樓遂被拆除。
